Salt Action Summary: 

2010: 

Health Minister Dr Neil Sharma announced that the Government would be developing a national strategy for salt reduction - thus providing a framework to tackle salt intakes. 

The Government -led programme involves setting voluntary targets across several products and is supported by an advocacy group. 

Fiji work closely with the WHOCC supported by the George Institute in Australia - members of which are also members of AWASH, the Australian division of WASH.
